An important feature of the courses provided by PTS is the time spent in small syndicate groups, where individualised feedback is offered after each session by our training team. Half-day INTENSIVE COURSE This course comprises of a half day course of 4 hours, and is closely controlled by trained staff, with the outcomes being incorporated into a practical plan to gather and refine your evidence for your successful application. Key inputs will entail: • How to review your evidence and make links to key competencies. • How to manage a spread of evidence within the accepted format of the application • What terminology is accepted in the written form • How to a void 'common mistakes' seen by experienced assessors • How your application will be scored • How to maximize your score for every competency • What to prepare for in the event of an appeal At PTS as MPS assessors we know the reasons why people fail assessments, these are: • Poorly planned and written applications • Failing to link ‘evidence’ from real examples to relevant competency areas • Inability to introduce ‘new’ examples of competency to enhance your scoring in competency areas in the event of an appeal • Lack of coverage across ‘competencies’, in applications • Failing to gather evidence/information in a structured way, and having a ‘plan’ to prepare your application • Lack of visibility with SMT members PTS can provide INDIVIDUAL FEEDBACK from our fully trained assessors on a one to one basis if required. MPS assessors providing a structured breakdown of the methods to approach plan and write your promotion application.
